The Straughn Middle School Library/Media Center is open
7:20 am-3:15pm.
The Library/Media Center is available for after school use as needed.
Students and teachers may check out materials throughout the school day.
Specific times may be designated for class projects.

Books
Teachers may check out books for extended period of time.
Students may check out books catalogued as “Regular” for two weeks. Students may check out 2 books at a time. Additional books may be checked out by students with permission.
Parents/community members, and school staff may check out books for extended periods of time.
Audiovisual Materials and Equipment
Teachers may check out audiovisual materials and equipment for extended periods of time.
Students utilize audiovisual materials and equipment during school hours under the supervision of a teacher or librarian.
Parents, community members, and school staff may checkout audiovisual materials and equipment.
E-Books
Teachers and students may access e-books through Follet Destiny. Registration is required. See the librarian for usernames and passwords.
Students can log into follett destiny using the username: Student and password: tigers
Reference Materials
Teachers may check out reference materials for classroom use for designated periods of time.
Students may check out reference materials for one day. Students may use reference material in the library media center.
